Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep Associate, where your energy and attention to detail will help create a seamless dining experience for our guests! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation. Your enthusiasm and commitment to food safety will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant, ensuring every dish served meets our high standards of quality and sanitation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills and gain valuable restaurant experience in a fast-paced setting. Duties Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients under supervision Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal to uphold sanitation standards Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and ensuring dining areas are tidy and welcoming Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, ovens, mixers, and other small appliances as needed Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy pots, boxes of supplies, or trash bins while following proper lifting techniques Follow all food safety protocols and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests Requirements Prior food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen setting Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing Basic knife skills for food prep tasks; familiarity with kitchen equipment operation is a plus Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety compliance Excellent teamwork skills; able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Join us in creating an energetic atmosphere where your contributions directly impact the guest experience!
