Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher, where your role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. You will be responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks and support the kitchen team with bussing tables and clearing plates. Handle manual cleaning tasks including scrubbing and sanitizing surfaces, sinks, and storage areas. Support food handling practices by maintaining cleanliness of food contact surfaces and storage areas. Assist in maintaining overall sanitation of the kitchen by adhering to health and safety standards. Participate in heavy lifting activities when moving supplies or large containers of dishware or ingredients. Skills Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation procedures. Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools safely. Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards. Manual handling skills for lifting heavy items safely. Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred. Basic knife skills for assisting with food prep when needed. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.
