The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This candidate will also be able to assist our chefs in prep duties such as peeling / cutting vegetables, scooping cookies, rolling brioche buns etc. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and delivering an exceptional events experience to our guests. Responsibilities Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen by regularly cleaning floors, countertops, and equipment. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including minor food prep duties, perhaps joining on events. Ensure proper food handling practices are followed to maintain safety and hygiene standards. Support the culinary team by keeping up with the flow of dirty dishes during busy hours. Help with inventory management by organizing clean dishes and utensils for easy access. Participate in periodic deep cleaning tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration with kitchen staff. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
