Many of the Roman classics are featured - Carbonara, all'Amatriciana, alla Gricia, al Burro, Arrabbiata and more. Position Summary Our dishwashers are a vital part of our team. They are responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, glassware, and pots are clean and sanitized. Duties & Responsibilities Load, run and unload dish machine. Monitor water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle. Follow sanitation guidelines set forth by the Health Department. Follow weekly cleaning schedule to maintain the standard of the restaurant. Keep the dish room clean and organized. Bag and haul trash to dumpster at designated times. Communicates with Chefs and Management about any maintenance concerns. Clean all restroom facilities before the restaurant is open to the public. Sweep and mop floors, wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and all other surface areas. Stock food, beverages and supplies as directed by the Chef. Proper handling of food. Dishes must be put away in a timely manner. Help line cooks properly prep, store, and date food. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas; restock tools and supplies for the next shift. Maintain temperature logs; keep walk-in cooler/freezer organized. All other duties assigned. Physical Requirements May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. Must have the ability to bend, squat and lift 50 lbs. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity. Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment, including, but not limited to, cutlery used in the cutting of fruit for garnishes. Skills/Experience Some experience required. Current food handler card. Good communication/listening skills. Ability to multitask. Team player and able to anticipate others' needs. Positive Attitude. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
