Duties dishwashing efficiently clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools Manually handle heavy lifting of pots, pans, and large quantities of dishware with proper technique to prevent injury. Maintain high standards of sanitation by regularly cleaning workstations, sinks, and dishwashing areas in compliance with kitchen health and safety standards. Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup for meal service. Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and transporting used dishware to the dishwashing station. Follow all food safety management protocols to ensure proper handling of food items during cleaning processes. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including sinks, dishwashers, and other related tools. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is valued. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy items regularly. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as commercial dishwashers is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards. Ability to work quickly under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Prior banquet or culinary experience can be advantageous but is not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
