Competitive; based on experience Position Summary Beach Happy Cafe & Cocktails is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented Dishwasher to support our kitchen operations. The Dishwasher plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment by ensuring all dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen areas are cleaned and sanitized efficiently. This position is essential to the success of our kitchen team and overall guest experience. Key Responsibilities Dishwashing & Sanitation Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly. Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently. Ensure all cleaned items are properly stored and organized. Maintain clean dish stations and ensure continuous availability of clean kitchen tools during service. Kitchen Cleanliness & Support Keep all kitchen floors, mats, drains, and work areas clean and free of hazards. Remove trash, recycling, and kitchen waste regularly throughout shifts. Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, walls, shelving, coolers, and storage areas. Support kitchen staff with basic prep or stocking tasks as needed. Safety & Compliance Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Properly handle cleaning chemicals and maintain safety standards. Report broken equipment, hazards, or maintenance issues promptly. Teamwork & Culture Work collaboratively with all kitchen and front-of-house team members. Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to help where needed. Support team goals and contribute to a clean, efficient, and respectful work environment. Qualifications Previous dishwashing or restaurant experience preferred, but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow directions and work independently. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen conditions. Ability to bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.

Pay:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
