Head Chef / General Manager Position Overview The Banyan House Restaurant is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. As a Dishwasher, you play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, dish area, and throughout the restaurant. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in supporting a high-quality dining experience. Key Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans. Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area, kitchen equipment, and floors. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals. Assist with basic food prep and kitchen tasks as directed by the chef or kitchen manager. Empty trash and recycling, ensuring proper disposal. Restock clean items to appropriate stations for use by kitchen and front-of-house staff. Communicate effectively with team members to keep workflow smooth during busy service hours. Qualifications Previous dishwasher or kitchen experience preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
