Responsibilities Thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients under supervision Maintain cleanliness of workstations by cleaning countertops, sinks, floors, and storage areas regularly Support food safety standards by following sanitation protocols and handling food items with care to prevent contamination Clear and buss tables promptly during service to ensure a clean dining environment for guests Operate kitchen equipment safely including dishwashers, sinks, and other small appliances while adhering to health and safety standards Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies or large containers of ingredients while practicing manual handling safety guidelines Assist in Labeling containers when needed Skills Knowledge of food preparation techniques and proper food handling procedures Experience with cleaning and sanitation practices within a restaurant or food service environment Ability to follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to ensure compliance with health regulations Strong manual handling skills for lifting heavy items safely and efficiently Basic knife skills for assisting in simple food prep tasks when needed Understanding of kitchen health and safety standards to maintain a safe working environment This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their culinary skills while supporting a vibrant restaurant team.
