The Panther Dining Hall at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Dishwasher. This position promotes sustainability within dining operations, including implementation and maintenance of Somat or similar food pulping procedures.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

This position works with management to ensure continued compliance with Green Seal initiatives. In addition to "other duties as assigned", this position may be required to be cross-trained for another position and/or responsibility to provide both back-up for a department as well as supplement resources needed during certain times of the year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Properly cleans the cooking utensils and equipment. Restocks all washed items in the appropriate area. Maintains the cleanliness of dish machines as well as dish areas. Washes, sorts, replaces, and restocks flatware, serving dishes, china, glasses, and all other washable items. Assists daily in trash removal, cleaning, and maintenance of the back-of-house operation. Assists in the organization, picking up, and cleaning of the laundry area. Ensure the dish machine is properly cleaned and maintained throughout the shift.

Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED and one year of related experience.

Preferred Requirements:

Previous dishwashing experience. Excellent customer service.

Physical Requirements:

Extended standing, walking, ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb ladders. Ability to lift 35 pounds. Ability to work in all temperature conditions. Flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
