GENERAL SUMMARY
Park Springs takes pride in only hiring the best of the best! Our Dishwashers are responsible for performing various kitchen cleaning and storage activities, but not limited to dish washing, pot washing, general and equipment cleaning, storage and rotation of food and supplies.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Performs under the direction of supervisory personnel, including dish and pot washing, general cleaning duties, and storing food and nonfood supplies. Set up the dish and pot washing area. Prepares dishwashing and washes pots, dishes, and utensils. Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes, and utensils. Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces, and the kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures. Empties trash containers as required. Maintains Serv/Safe Certification. Works in unison with others professionally and respectfully, carrying out the Park Springs Promise and Mission Statement. Demonstrates a commitment to Park Springs. Assures proper infection control procedures are followed through for sanitation in accordance with State and Federal Regulations. Demonstrates good communication skills with Members, guests, vendors, and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma preferred/ GED accepted One (1) year experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full service senior living Ability to handle multiple priorities Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication Must have organizational and time management skills Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Works indoors; must be able to stand/walk for 100% of the work day; must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently; must be able to push and pull bus carts and tray carts weighing up to 100 lbs. independently; must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the work day. Must be able to perform sweeping/mopping functions with ease. May be exposed to quick variance of hot and cold temperatures from ovens and freezers. May be exposed to industrial cleaning chemicals and to hot water temperatures regularly.
