Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, sinks, dishwashing stations, and storage areas to meet sanitation standards. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or ingredient handling under supervision. Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and transporting dirty dishes to the dishwashing area. Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and correctly. Follow proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy loads of dishes or supplies to prevent injury. Adhere strictly to kitchen health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Qualifications Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential! Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service periods. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as commercial dishwashers is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards.
