Iowa City, Iowa Position Summary Pullman Bar & Diner is seeking a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher to join our back-of-house team. Dishwashers are essential to the success of our restaurant, ensuring our kitchen operates efficiently by maintaining clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and workspaces. Key Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area throughout each shift. Operate and maintain the commercial dish machine according to safety and sanitation standards. Empty trash, recycling, and compost as needed. Sweep, mop, and clean kitchen floors and work areas. Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries when needed. Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation and other tasks as assigned. Restock clean dishes, cookware, and utensils throughout service. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Complete opening, closing, and deep-cleaning duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous restaurant or dishwashing experience is helpful but not required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
