This position is responsible for keeping dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment clean and available throughout service while supporting the kitchen team with routine cleaning tasks. Responsibilities Wash, rinse, sanitize, and store dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, and pans. Operate the commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently. Keep the dish station organized and supplied throughout each shift. Clean and sanitize sinks, counters, floors, and surrounding kitchen areas. Remove garbage and recycling according to restaurant procedures. Return clean equipment and utensils to their designated storage areas. Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and prep duties when needed. Monitor dishware and kitchen equipment levels during busy periods. Follow restaurant food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work area throughout the shift. Qualifications Previous dishwasher or restaurant experience is preferred but not required. Able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment. Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation. Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team. Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods. Able to lift, carry, and organize kitchen items safely. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
