In this energetic role, you will ensure the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas, supporting the smooth operation of our restaurant and Special Events. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for guests and a safe, efficient workspace for staff. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational skills in food safety, sanitation, and hospitality operations while working in a lively team setting. Duties Maintain cleanliness of all kitchenware, utensils, dishes, and cookware through proper dishwashing techniques following food safety sanitizing procedures Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup Clear and bus tables promptly to ensure a clean and inviting dining environment Support the kitchen team by transporting supplies, dishes, and waste using manual handling techniques and heavy lifting when necessary Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers safely and efficiently according to health standards Follow sanitation protocols to uphold kitchen health and safety standards, including proper food handling and cleaning procedures Help with general restaurant sanitation duties to maintain a hygienic environment for both staff and guests Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key! Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation standards is advantageous Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods Familiarity with operating basic kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or cleaning tools is a plus Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization in fast-paced settings Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues and guests Basic understanding of kitchen health and safety standards, including proper food handling practices Based on special events and support, must be able to work some evenings and weekends with flexible hours Embark on your hospitality journey with us—where your energy fuels our success!
