In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards, preparing ingredients, and supporting the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food experiences. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure a smooth operation, uphold food safety standards, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, sanitation, and kitchen operations within a fast-paced hospitality setting. Duties Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following proper dishwashing procedures and sanitation standards Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning items according to recipe specifications Maintain cleanliness of workstations, including counters, sinks, and storage areas, adhering to sanitation guidelines Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring dining areas are tidy and welcoming Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy pots, boxes of supplies, or cleaning equipment safely and correctly Operate kitchen equipment with proper training and care Qualifications Food Handlers Certificate Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation standards necessary for maintaining a clean kitchen environment Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely Basic knife skills and familiarity with food preparation techniques advantageous Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards to prevent accidents or contamination Experience with dishwashing machines or other kitchen equipment is a plus Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude; previous catering or banquet experience is beneficial Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Join us in creating an inviting dining experience by ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly with cleanliness, safety, and quality at the forefront.
