Job Description
Job Summary The Seasonal Pool Dishwasher/Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the pool kitchen, dishwashing areas, and surrounding service spaces during the Club's peak summer season. This role ensures all cookware, utensils, and service items are properly cleaned and available to support efficient poolside food and beverage operations. This position plays a key role in delivering a clean, safe, and well-organized environment while upholding Butterfield Country Club's high standards of service and sanitation.

May through September (flexibility required for pre/post season events)Reports To:
Pool Chef, Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef Essential Functions Clean, wash, and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment used in pool operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool kitchen, dish area, storage spaces, and surrounding service areas. Operate and properly maintain dishwashing equipment, including breakdown and cleaning at end of shift. Remove trash, food waste, and recyclables to designated disposal areas throughout shifts. Keep floors clean, dry, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment. Restock clean dishes, utensils, and supplies for pool service as needed. Assist with light food prep (e.g., peeling, portioning, basic prep tasks) as directed. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards. Support culinary team during high-volume service periods, weekends, and Club events. Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or sanitation issues to management immediately. Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment according to Club standards. Maintain flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak summer events. Assist in other assignments not included in Duties & Responsibilities as directed by management to support overall Club operations. Qualifications Previous dishwashing, stewarding, or kitchen experience preferred but not required. Food Handler certification preferred (Club can provide training). Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume seasonal environment. Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented mindset. Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Must be available throughout the summer season, including weekends and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours). Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions. Ability to work in hot, humid, and outdoor-adjacent environments. Uniform & Appearance Standards Club-issued uniform must be clean and presentable at all times. Closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes required. Maintain a neat, professional appearance in line with Club standards. No cell phone use while on duty or in the presence of members.Pay:
