Hand wash kitchen items not suitable for the dishwasher. Store items in their proper spot and maintain a tidy and organized kitchen. Notify manager if dish machine malfunctions or requires maintenance. Clean equipment, appliances, storage area, and sinks according to schedule. Support kitchen staff with basic prep, item restock, or delivery of clean items when needed. Provide customer service to residents to allow a high level of resident satisfaction. Bus tables during and after meals and clear tables when residents are finished eating, as requested. Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment as required by local and state health departments. Perform routine preventative cleaning on dish machine according to schedule. Other duties as assigned. Education, Experience and Other Requirements Must be age 16 or older Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Promote teamwork in providing services to residents. Follow state food-handling and kitchen regulations Operation of basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn. Working 3-3.75 hours per shift standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit down Preferred Qualifications Willingness to learn and help others Enjoyment in working with older adults Some experience in food cleanup or preparation is preferred #INDBenefits
