Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep specialist and be a vital part of delivering exceptional dining experiences! In this energetic role, you will ensure the cleanliness and safety of all kitchenware and food preparation areas while supporting food service operations. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help maintain a seamless flow in our bustling kitchen environment, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant or catering service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational kitchen skills, gain restaurant experience, and work within a vibrant hospitality setting. Duties Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients to support kitchen staff Maintain cleanliness of all food prep stations, dining areas, and service counters through regular cleaning and sanitation practices Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and resetting dining spaces efficiently Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers, sinks, and basic small appliances Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy pots, boxes of supplies, or bulk ingredients in accordance with safety standards Follow strict food handling protocols to ensure hygiene and sanitation standards are upheld at all times Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of kitchen operations Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures to maintain health standards Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and basic cooking tools Excellent knife skills for food prep tasks when needed Strong attention to detail in cleaning routines and food safety compliance Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members in a fast-paced setting Experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus, demonstrating adaptability in diverse hospitality environments Embark on a rewarding journey in hospitality where your dedication ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both staff and guests.
