Responsibilities Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with bussing tables by clearing dishes promptly and resetting tables to ensure a clean and welcoming dining area. Support food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup to aid kitchen flow. Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen and dining areas by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste according to sanitation standards. Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, including dishwashers and other small appliances. Follow proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy items such as crates or large pots to prevent injury. Adhere strictly to kitchen health and safety standards, including food safety management practices and sanitation protocols. Qualifications Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential! Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, sanitation practices, and kitchen health standards. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing. Basic knife skills or culinary experience is a plus for supporting food prep activities. Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards cleanliness and organization. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude with enthusiasm for hospitality, catering, or banquet experience is highly valued.
