This vital role combines the art of meal preparation with efficient dishwashing duties, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests. The ideal candidate will bring culinary experience, food safety knowledge, and a passion for delivering high-quality food service in a fast-paced setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant team dedicated to excellence in food preparation and sanitation every morning. Duties Be on site at 6 a.m. Monday-Friday and at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday Prepare and cook breakfast and morning meals following established recipes, dietary guidelines, and menu plans Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, poaching stations, braising pots, and food production appliances safely and efficiently Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures throughout all food handling and preparation processes Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients and ensuring availability of necessary supplies for daily meal service Handle dishwashing duties by cleaning cookware, utensils, dishes, and kitchen surfaces promptly to uphold hygiene standards Support dietary needs by adhering to dietary restrictions, recipe adherence, and meal presentation standards Manage high-volume food production while maintaining quality control during busy morning hours Process food truck checking and storing inventory promptly at least twice per week Requirements Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting, including fraternity or sorority houses or catering experience preferred Strong knife skills and proficiency in cooking techniques and general food handling Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a high-volume environment Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation for diverse dietary needs Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting Work Monday-Friday 6 a.m.
  • 1:30 p.m., Saturday 9:30 a.m
  • 12:30 p.m. Be available for at least five special events
  • some of which are held on Sunday.
