Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently while adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools promptly after use Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or ingredient handling under supervision Support bussing duties by clearing tables and removing used dishware from dining areas Follow proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy pots, trays, or boxes to prevent injury Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all sanitation standards are met throughout the shift Assist with food safety management practices by following health and safety standards in the kitchen Support catering or banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, including sinks, dishwashers, and other small appliances Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided Familiarity with food handling and sanitation procedures is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards ensures a safe working environment for all team members Experience with dishwashing or kitchen sanitation roles enhances your ability to excel in this position Basic knife skills or culinary experience can be beneficial for supporting food prep tasks when needed A positive attitude towards hospitality work with a focus on teamwork and attention to detail This role offers an engaging opportunity to be an essential part of a busy culinary operation.
