Job Description

Kitchen Utility (Prep & Dish) At Island Creek Oysters we grow thriving coastal communities in New England and beyond. Through innovation and education, we create opportunities to connect people with groundbreaking seafood products and experiences. The Rawbar is an exciting restaurant furthering the Island Creek guest experience and community growth at our farm and HQ on the Duxbury waterfront. This restaurant team works with world-class seafood, local purveyors and the ICO team to create a one of a kind restaurant. Kitchen Utility team members support food preparation, care for the kitchen and Raw Bar spaces, and health & sanitation in the kitchen.
ROLE:
Wash, sanitize and organize all plateware, tools and equipment Responsible for keeping the kitchen and fridge areas clean and sanitary. Organize products as needed and ensure the walk-in is kept to a high standard of cleanliness. Continually maintain the cleanliness of the grounds around the restaurant. Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Check in food deliveries to ensure accuracy. Any incorrect product or product not up to standards must be sent back and noted through invoice. Follow manager's direction in regard to sanitation and safety practices Operate, maintain, and properly clean kitchen equipment: this includes all restaurant owned equipment deemed part of your cleaning duties. Maintain and clean your required tools. Work efficiently with a constant sense of urgency. Prioritize safety above speed. Study and know all safety policies set forth by Winsor House. When in doubt of cleanliness or process, Ask the manager for assistance and opinion.
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work independently Availability to work flexible shifts A friendly and hospitality driven personality Demonstrate and learn cooking and shucking skills Previous restaurant or kitchen experience appreciated
