Potwasher dnata Catering - 4.0 Everett, MA Job Details Full-time $17 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Food Handler Certification Full Job Description As a Pot Washer at dnata Catering, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently clean and sanitize pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils used in meal preparation. You will follow established cleaning procedures and guidelines to ensure that all equipment is washed, rinsed, and sanitized properly. Additionally, you may be responsible for assisting with general kitchen cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash and cleaning trash cans. This role is essential to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in our kitchen operations. Join our team and contribute to the smooth functioning of dnata Catering!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow established rules of entry to building and work areas, properly attired and in compliance with HACCP guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions as mandated by management. Must meet all applicable state and local food handler certification requirements for the work location (Texas requires a Food Handler Certificate within 60 days of hire). Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans by hand. Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in approved, proper storage areas. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly conditions. Sweep, mop, and deck brush floors. Clean garbage cans weekly with soap and water. Sort and remove trash and place it in the dumpster at the end of every shift. Perform other duties as assigned by unit Supervisors.
EDUCATION
High School diploma or GED preferred with 1 year pot washing and cleaning experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous Pot washing experience. Must meet all applicable state and local food handler certification requirements for the work location (Texas requires a Food Handler Certificate within 60 days of hire). Excellent attention to detail and self-organized Ability to deal with heavy workload. Strong prioritization skills and the ability to perform multiple tasks. Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays).
Intellectual/Social demands:
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards, including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. This position also requires constant attendance and punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Meets productivity standards; Completes work in a timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly.
Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly.
Work environment:
The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud.
