Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Food Preparation and Dish Washer! In this vital role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting food service activities. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where delicious meals are crafted and served with excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in food handling, kitchen operations, and safety standards within a fast-paced food industry setting. Duties Food Preparation Wash, peel, chop, slice, and measure ingredients according to chef instructions and standard recipes. Dishwashing & Sanitation Scrape, rinse, and load dishes, glassware, and utensils into commercial dishwashers. Hand-wash large pots, pans, and delicate kitchen tools. Unload, dry, and neatly organize clean dishware and equipment in appropriate storage areas. Sweep and mop floors regularly to ensure a safe and sanitary kitchen environment. Take out trash, compost, and recycling as needed, following all guidelines for waste management. Refill cleaning supplies, paper goods, and other Back-of-House essentials to support smooth operations. Assist with cleaning kitchen surfaces, walls, storage areas, and equipment as part of daily and weekly deep-cleaning routines. Portion, label, and store food items, ensuring proper rotation and following FIFO (First-In, First-Out) methods. Assist the kitchen team during busy service hours with plating or retrieving items. Receive food deliveries, check for quality, organize storage areas and unpacking deliveries. Follow food safety protocols when handling ingredients or tools.
