Position Summary:
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures that the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe, and sanitary facility.Responsibilities:
Wash and sanitize all dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines and manual methods. Properly store clean dishes, silverware, and kitchen tools in their designated locations. Remove trash and food waste from kitchen areas regularly and dispose of it in accordance with the restaurant's waste disposal protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing station and ensure that all equipment is in proper working condition. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the manager. Assist kitchen staff with basic tasks such as food prep, replenishing supplies, and organizing kitchen areas as needed. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and maintaining personal hygiene. Perform other duties as assigned by management.Minimum Requirements:
Willingness to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment. Ability to follow instructions and ensure that cleaning and sanitizing standards are met. Reliable and punctual with the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.Education and Experience:
Must successfully complete restaurants training course. High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification is a plus.Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs). The pay range for this role is: 15- 16 USD per hour(Ocean City, MD)
