About The Good Table The Good Table is a restaurant in the heart of Cape Elizabeth — a place to slow down, catch up, and eat something made with care. We serve Bard Coffee, pizzas made to order, and a rotating selection of pastries alongside grab-and-go options for when you're on the move. Part of the Prentice Hospitality Group, The Good Table reflects the same commitment to genuine hospitality and quality that the group is known for — just in a quicker fashion. Position Summary The Dishwasher plays a vital role in keeping our kitchens running smoothly and safely. This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and work areas. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in supporting the culinary team behind the scenes to ensure exceptional food service and guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area, kitchen floors, trash areas, and back-of-house spaces Assist with basic kitchen tasks such as restocking supplies, receiving deliveries, or food prep as needed Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently Support the kitchen team during busy service periods Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company proceduresQualifications:
Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to cleanliness and organization Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Team-oriented with a positive, reliable attitude Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as neededBenefits:
