Dishwasher Job Summary The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is clean, safe, and sanitary at all times. Key Responsibilities Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand. Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition. Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars. Sweep or scrub floors. Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas. Performing other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal communication skills Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to handle emergency and stressful situations like resolving customer conflicts Ability to make quick decisions Ability to create a positive and welcoming customer experience Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this role, with limited tolerance for unplanned absences or last-minute call-offs
