Job Description

A dishwasher is responsible for keeping the kitchen and service areas running smoothly by cleaning and sanitizing all dishes, utensils, cookware, and equipment throughout each shift. They operate and maintain the dish machine, hand-wash items as needed, and ensure everything is dried, organized, and returned to the proper stations so the kitchen and front-of-house teams can work efficiently. Their duties also include taking out trash, breaking down boxes, sweeping and mopping floors, and maintaining a clean, safe dish area that meets all health and sanitation standards. Dishwashers may assist with basic prep tasks, restocking, or other back-of-house needs during slower periods. Through consistency, reliability, and attention to cleanliness, they play a crucial role in supporting the overall quality and flow of operations at Char Stone House. 20-35 hrs. per week.
