In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient environment for food preparation and service. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help maintain the highest standards of sanitation, food safety, and kitchen organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting while supporting the overall guest experience. Responsibilities Thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients under supervision Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, counters, and storage spaces, adhering to sanitation standards Properly handle and transport heavy items like bulk supplies and cookware using manual handling techniques to prevent injury Support food safety management by following hygiene protocols and ensuring all food handling practices meet health regulations Buse tables and clear dining areas promptly to ensure a smooth flow of service Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, sinks, and prep tools Requirements Prior experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards in commercial kitchens Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy loads regularly Basic knife skills for food prep tasks are a plus but can be learned on the job Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety compliance Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed This role is an excellent entry point into the hospitality industry, offering valuable experience in kitchen operations while contributing to a lively team environment.
