Job Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher, where your role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. You will be the backbone of our food service operation, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are sanitized and ready for use. Your energetic approach will help keep the flow of the kitchen seamless, supporting chefs and food service staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational skills in food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations within a vibrant hospitality setting. Duties Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff. Clear and buss tables promptly to maintain cleanliness in dining areas. Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Handle manual lifting of heavy items such as large pots, crates of supplies, and bulk dishware while adhering to proper manual handling techniques. Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety standards. Support overall kitchen cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and organizing storage areas regularly. Qualifications Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently. Familiarity with operating basic kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and sanitizing stations. Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a fast-paced environment. Basic knife skills or experience with food handling are a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific duties.
