Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dishwasher/Janitor to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment within our food service establishment and gas station/truck stop. Your efforts will ensure that all kitchen and dining areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, supporting smooth operations and excellent customer experiences. You would also be responsible for cleaning and stocking the gas station portion of the building (inlcuding but not limited to the showers, and bathrooms), and helping Subway as needed. Responsibilities Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and availability for daily operations Maintain cleanliness of all food preparation areas, merchandise aream dining spaces, restrooms, and service stations through regular cleaning routines Support catering and banquet setups by ensuring serving ware and utensils are spotless and ready for use Organize equipment in their proper locations Help with stocking as needed Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold safety standards and prevent contamination Keep the work area organized, sanitized, and free of hazards at all times Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely clearing of tables and proper bussing of dining areas. You also help stock th coolers, and help with any duties any portion of the building might need. Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key and help out where ever needed Knowledge of cleaning techniques, food handling safety protocols, and sanitation standards Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization across multiple areas Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues in busy settings Basic understanding of food preparation, serving, bussing, and hospitality operations is advantageous Willingness to adhere to all health and safety regulations related to kitchen hygiene and sanitation Join us in creating a welcoming environment where cleanliness meets excellence!
