Job Description
Dishwasher Position Summary The Dishwasher plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen. This position is responsible for washing dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment while assisting with general cleaning duties to support the kitchen team. The ideal candidate is dependable, works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment. Properly store clean dishes and kitchen equipment in designated areas. Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and free of clutter. Empty trash and recycling throughout the kitchen and dish area. Sweep and mop kitchen floors as needed. Clean and sanitize sinks, counters, shelving, and food preparation areas. Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries when requested. Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning chemicals and notify management when inventory is low. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and support tasks as needed. Perform opening and closing cleaning duties. Maintain a positive attitude and work cooperatively with all team members. Qualifications No previous experience required; restaurant or hotel experience is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to cleanliness and organization. Dependable with excellent attendance. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift. Work safely around hot water, cleaning chemicals, and commercial kitchen equipment.
