This position will primarily work weekends and some weekday evenings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a crucial role in supporting the dietary department by assisting with serving, busing tables, and washing dishes. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines. Ensure that all food handling and safety protocols are followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Support cooks in food production tasks Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas to meet health regulations. Deliver meals to residents while providing friendly and attentive service Collaborate with nursing staff to accommodate special dietary needs or restrictions for residents. Participate in training sessions related to food safety and culinary practices. Requirements Previous experience in a dietary department or similar role within assisted living or nursing home settings is preferred. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Strong communication skills to interact with residents, staff, and other team members. A clean background check is required prior to employment. A drug screen will be completed Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed. A passion for culinary arts and providing excellent service in the food industry.
