Job Description

UM Campus Dinning invites applications for a Dishwasher to provide accurate and skillful dish room and kitchen cleaning. This is an academic year position (August through May). Assist the dish room supervisor in training and supervising student staff Provide outstanding guest service Clean and sanitize equipment Clearly and openly communicate with all staff Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and managers High school diploma or GED equivalent Ability to lift materials from floor level to table height, which requires mobility and physical demands Familiar with operating a commercial dish machine and of cleaners and sanitizing solutions Ability to work in an environment with noise, chemicals, and varying temperatures Familiar with food safety practices and procedures Good communication skills Ability to remain productive in a fast-paced environment Ability to effectively work independently and as a team member within a very diverse work force Preferred Qualifications High school diploma and five (5) years of industrial dishwashing experience Expert knowledge of operating a commercial dish machine and of cleaners and sanitizing solutions ServSafe manager certification

Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Hours vary due to needs of the unit, Academic Year (10 months/year, August through May),
Probationary Period:
Six (6) months minimum
