Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher, where your role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. You will be responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Your energetic approach will help keep the kitchen running smoothly, supporting chefs and food service staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items are hygienic and ready for use. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping, peeling, or portioning under supervision. Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and resetting dining areas quickly and effectively. Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy pots, trays, or boxes while adhering to proper lifting techniques for safety. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and overall kitchen sanitation standards throughout your shift. Support food handling practices that meet health regulations and promote a safe working environment. Qualifications Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential. Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation procedures is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in a fast-paced environment with energy and attention to detail. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as commercial dishwashers or sinks is advantageous. Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards, including proper manual handling techniques. Experience in catering, banquet service, hotel kitchens, or culinary environments is beneficial but not mandatory.
