(i) to maintain clean, sanitary, and well-organized dishes, glasses, utensils, and kitchen equipment and (ii) to provide general custodial support to the kitchen staff in a sorority house environment. This role works closely with the Executive Chef, Food Service Assistants, and House Director to ensure proper upkeep of kitchen and house facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash, sanitize, dry, and safely store dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized dishwashing area throughout all meals and shifts. Remove all kitchen and dining room garbage and trash. Remove house garbage and trash before weekends. Maintain outdoor spaces, clean outdoor grills, and outdoor grill area. Maintain and sweep flat roof. Blow outdoor leaves and yard debris. Sweep and maintain porches. Break down and dispose of cardboard boxes from deliveries. Miscellaneous cleaning and light maintenance activities as needed. Notify the House Director of any equipment malfunctions or issues requiring attention. Qualifications Strong manual handling skills with the capacity for heavy lifting and reach overhead as needed. Flexibility in hours when in busy time periods at the house Reliable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team.
