Responsibilities Operate 3 compartment sink to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently and safely. Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup. Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing used dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas. Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and boxes with proper technique to prevent injury. Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, sinks, and storage areas. Adhere to all kitchen health and safety standards, including proper knife skills and safe operation of kitchen equipment. Skills Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Experience in food handling, food service, or kitchen operations is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service hours. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and basic culinary tools. Strong attention to detail in cleaning routines and food safety protocols. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and support overall kitchen operations.
