Duties Thoroughly wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods. Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all kitchen tools are properly stored and organized. Assist with food preparation tasks such as bussing tables, organizing supplies, and supporting the culinary team during busy service periods. Support catering and banquet events by providing clean dishware and assisting with setup and breakdown as needed. Follow food handling safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to streamline cleaning processes during service hours for maximum efficiency. Help maintain a hygienic environment by adhering to cleaning schedules for floors, counters, and equipment. Skills Strong understanding of food service operations including bussing, food preparation, and cleaning procedures. Experience in restaurant or hotel environments with familiarity in food handling and sanitation standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of culinary practices such as basic cooking support or banquet experience is a plus. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen staff and servers. Basic physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy trays or containers, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
