The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential to the overall success of our food service operations, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. Duties Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashing machines or by hand. Maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing area and ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooking. Help with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes during busy service periods. Support catering events by ensuring all serving items are cleaned and ready for use. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an efficient workflow during peak hours. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
