Job Description

Overview Dishwasher / Kitchen SupportA Little About Us Little Havana is more than a restaurant. We are a small, family-owned community business built around food, culture, people, and the feeling of bringing everyone together around a table. Every person who works here plays a part in creating that experience—including the work that happens behind the scenes. We are looking for someone dependable and hardworking to help us keep our kitchen clean, organized, and ready for each day. This can be a great role for someone who enjoys working with a small team, but it can also be a great fit for someone who prefers to put on some music, focus, and get things done independently. Something Different About This Role We can offer flexibility in when and how you work. If you enjoy being around people and the energy of the restaurant, you can work during our operational hours alongside our kitchen and restaurant team. If you prefer a quieter environment and like working independently, there may also be opportunities to complete your work during off-hours, when the restaurant is closed. Either way, you'll have the warmth and support of our team while having the independence to find a work routine that fits both you and the needs of the restaurant. What You'll Help Us With Your main responsibility will be helping us maintain a clean, organized kitchen and restaurant. Depending on the shift and what is needed, this may include washing and organizing dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment; cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces and work areas; sweeping and mopping floors; taking out trash and recycling; keeping the dishwashing and cleaning areas organized; restocking items; and helping with general cleaning throughout the restaurant. You don't need to come in knowing everything. We'll show you how we organize our space, what needs to be done, and the standards we care about. Who We'd Love to Meet For this role, reliability matters much more to us than having an impressive résumé. We'd love to find someone who takes pride in leaving a space better than they found it. Someone who notices the details, can follow a routine without needing constant supervision, and understands that cleanliness and organization are an important part of a restaurant's success. You should be comfortable working on your feet, performing physical tasks, moving supplies, and working around a busy kitchen environment. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is responsible, humble, respectful, and willing to learn . Someone we can count on and who can count on us, too. Working for a small community business is different. You get to know the people you work with. You see the regulars who come through our doors. Your work is noticed, and your contribution matters. We don't expect perfection, and we don't expect you to know everything on your first day. We'll provide training and support while giving you the space to become comfortable and confident in the role. Whether you prefer working alongside us during a busy evening or getting things beautifully clean and organized while the restaurant is quiet, you'll be an important part of the Little Havana family and what we're building together. Join us in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where great food begins with great teamwork!
