The Tasting Room at Ironbound Farm is seeking a part-time dishwasher! Dishwashers at Ironbound are an integral part of our BOH team. We understand that without a good dishwasher, a kitchen can't survive! We are looking for a candidate that can help us maintain a clean and orderly kitchen Thursday - Sunday during prep and service hours. Our dishwashers are responsible for cleaning kitchen equipment such as sheet trays, pots, pans, etc. as well as dining room dishware and silverware. Our dishwashers help with BOH closing duties such as cleaning floors, taking out trash/recyclables, disinfecting surfaces, and putting away tools. During downtime, they perform basic kitchen prep tasks such as cleaning produce, picking herbs, portioning ingredients, etc. Prior restaurant experience is a plus, but we are open to all experience and skill levels for candidates with the right attitude and eagerness to contribute. An ideal candidate is efficient, moves with purpose, and keeps a well-organized space - and is also looking to be part of a supportive and close-knit team. An ability to work well with others is a highly valued skill for us!

Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintain a clean dish area during prep and service hours Operate a dishwasher and maintain its filter/detergent levels Manually wash items that cannot fit in a dishwasher Putting away/organizing kitchen wares and returning FOH dishes to dining room Maintain cleanliness of kitchen space including floors, prep tables, storage areas Help break down/clean kitchen stations Assist with removal of trash and cleanliness of bins Other basic BOH duties as assigned, time allowing
