Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep! In this energetic role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient environment for food preparation and service. Duties Thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures to ensure cleanliness and safety. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients in accordance with food safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized work station by regularly cleaning countertops, sinks, and storage areas following sanitation protocols. Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and resetting dining areas efficiently to promote a smooth flow of service. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, food prep tools, and other small appliances while adhering to health and safety standards. Handle food products with care during manual handling processes such as lifting heavy pots or boxes of supplies to prevent injury. Follow all food safety management practices including proper food handling, sanitation procedures, and kitchen health standards to ensure compliance with regulations. Assist in maintaining overall sanitation of the kitchen environment by adhering to cleaning schedules and safety guidelines. Support catering or banquet setups by preparing ingredients or assisting with large-scale food prep when needed. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated newcomers eager to learn. Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards is advantageous. Experience with dishwashing or general kitchen cleaning tasks demonstrates reliability in maintaining hygiene standards. Knowledge of basic knife skills and food handling techniques is a plus for those interested in developing culinary skills. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during supply restocking or equipment movement. Prior experience working in catering or banquet settings can be beneficial but is not mandatory; training will be provided for all new team members.
