Job Description

This position is a combination of dishwashing during operating hours and kitchen preparation throughout the week . The ideal candidate is reliable, works well in a fast-paced kitchen, takes direction well, and is willing to assist wherever needed. Primary Responsibilities Dishwashing & Kitchen Cleanliness Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glasses, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout service. Keep the dish area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Properly operate and maintain the commercial dishwasher. Keep floors, sinks, work areas, and other kitchen areas clean throughout the shift. Take out garbage and recycling as needed. Assist kitchen staff with maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures. Kitchen Prep Prepare ingredients and kitchen materials for upcoming lunch and dinner services. Wash, peel, cut, chop, slice, and portion vegetables and other ingredients. Prepare basic sauces, dressings, garnishes, and other items as directed. Portion and organize ingredients for kitchen stations. Label, date, and properly store prepared food. Restock prep items and kitchen stations throughout the week. Assist the kitchen team with daily and weekly prep lists. Help prepare ingredients for busy weekends and special events. During Service Maintain a steady flow of clean dishes, pans, and utensils so the kitchen can operate efficiently. Communicate with cooks when supplies or clean equipment are needed. Assist with basic kitchen tasks when the dish area is caught up. Help keep the kitchen running smoothly during busy periods. Be prepared to work efficiently under pressure during high-volume services. Qualifications Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred. Must be dependable and punctual. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks. Ability to lift and carry kitchen supplies when necessary. Strong attention to cleanliness and organization. Willingness to learn and take direction. Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team. What We Expect We are looking for someone who shows up on time, works hard, stays busy, and takes pride in keeping the kitchen clean and prepared . When there are no dishes to wash, there should always be something productive to work on—whether that's prepping vegetables, restocking, cleaning, organizing, or helping the kitchen team.
Pay:
From $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 30.0 per week
