The Dishwasher is responsible for washing and sanitizing dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. This position is ideal for someone dependable, hardworking, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. Operate the commercial dishwasher and follow proper sanitation procedures. Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and free of debris. Assist kitchen staff with maintaining overall cleanliness throughout the kitchen. Remove trash and recycling and maintain designated waste areas. Sweep and mop kitchen floors as needed. Restock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies. Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when needed. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines. Safely lift and carry boxes, pots, and kitchen supplies. Work efficiently while maintaining cleanliness during busy service periods. Assist with other basic kitchen duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Some previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred but not required. Must be reliable, punctual, and hardworking. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to cleanliness and organization. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to safely lift and carry supplies and equipment. Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills. Willingness to follow restaurant sanitation and safety procedures.
