Job Description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Kitchen Utility Worker for a banquet hall that's serving meals to workers for a Data Center construction project in McCarran, NV. This is a temp position paying $16-$18/hr. In this role, you will wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils using a commercial dishwasher and three-compartment sink, and keep the kitchen clean and organized during service.

Dining/Banquet Hall (tent) Responsibilities Operate a commercial dishwasher and three-compartment sink to wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils throughout the shift. Sort, stack, and store cleaned items in their designated locations to keep kitchen workflow moving. Clean and maintain dishwashing stations, sinks, floors, and surrounding work areas. Remove trash and recycling from kitchen and dining areas. Replenish cleaning supplies and notify management when inventory is running low. Support kitchen staff with basic food prep and additional tasks during busy service periods. Minimum Requirements 3+ months of recent work history in catering, buffets, banquet halls, food production or restaurant kitchen environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating a commercial dishwasher or working a three-compartment sink station. Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen. Experience working high-volume service shifts in a restaurant or catering environment. Ability to maintain pace and stay organized during peak service hours. Experience assisting kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks. Previous experience in a restaurant, kitchen, or food service environment. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Pre-Employment Requirements Background check required. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently. Ability to work at a fast pace throughout the shift. Ability to stand for extended periods in a hot, wet kitchen environment. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks.
