Sparks, NV Job Type:
Full-Time Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00
PM Overtime:
Available as needed
Pay Rate:
$25.00 - $50.00 per hour, depending on experience Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic and repair skills, a solid work ethic, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered trucks, equipment, and related systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and related components. Perform preventative maintenance services and routine inspections. Repair and maintain fuel, cooling, hydraulic, electrical, suspension, and brake systems. Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to identify mechanical issues. Complete repairs accurately and efficiently. Inspect equipment and vehicles for performance and safety concerns. Maintain detailed service records and work orders. Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Communicate repair needs and findings to management. Test vehicles and equipment following repairs to ensure proper operation. Qualifications Required Minimum 5 years of diesel mechanic experience Valid driver's license Must own and maintain personal mechanic tools Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship Preferred Experience working on a variety of diesel trucks and heavy equipment Welding and fabrication experience Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more as required. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods. Ability to work in a shop environment and outdoors when necessary.
