Kitchen Steward

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Steward to join our culinary team. The Kitchen Steward plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that our food service operations run smoothly. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces to maintain a safe food preparation environment. Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Help with the setup and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring all items are properly cleaned and stored. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, produce and pantry items and report any shortages to the Executive Chef. Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation. Support cooks by providing assistance during peak hours to ensure timely meal service. Experience Previous experience in a food service or culinary environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with basic kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures is an advantage. Strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. A passion for hospitality and providing exceptional service in a fast-paced setting.
