Responsibilities Efficiently operate dishwashing equipment to clean all cookware, utensils, dishes, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as organizing supplies and handling ingredients safely. Follow strict sanitation protocols to ensure all kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment meet health and safety standards. Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of trays, boxes, and supplies while adhering to proper ergonomic practices. Maintain organization of dishware and kitchen supplies to facilitate smooth service flow. Support the kitchen team with general cleaning duties to uphold sanitation and hygiene standards across all areas. Requirements Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing. Familiarity with operating basic kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and cleaning tools. Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment. Demonstrated understanding of kitchen health and safety standards, including proper food handling practices. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting busy restaurant operations.
