Dietary Aide -
Per Diem Schedule:
3:30 PM-7:30
PM Availability:
Weekends included We are seeking a qualified and dependable Dietary Aide to join our team at our senior care facilities. The Dietary Aide will assist with preparing and serving meals to residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and dining environment. The ideal candidate is friendly, conscientious, customer-oriented, and able to multitask . You should be comfortable following food preparation instructions and adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation standards. The goal of this position is to provide excellent food service while ensuring residents receive their meals accurately, safely, and on time. Responsibilities Set up tables and the meal tray line while maintaining cleanliness and organization. Prepare daily desserts and other food items under the supervision of the Dietary Manager or Cook. Prepare and deliver resident meals, dishes, and trays at designated times and to designated rooms. Collect resident trays, plates, glasses, utensils, and other dining items after meals. Wash and sanitize trays, pots, pans, dishes, cooking vessels, and silverware. Discard food leftovers and remove garbage as required. Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, dining areas, and kitchen stations. Stock ingredients, supplies, and other kitchen items. Assist with monitoring inventory and reporting supply needs. Assist with menu planning and tracking food-related expenses as directed. Help maintain and properly operate kitchen equipment and appliances. Follow all applicable food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Perform other dietary and kitchen duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience as a Dietary Aide, Food Service Worker, or similar position preferred. Customer service experience in a senior care, healthcare, restaurant, or food service setting is a plus. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines. Ability to prepare food according to established recipes and instructions. Ability to safely operate cookware, bakeware, kitchen equipment, and cooking appliances. Friendly, respectful, and professional communication skills. Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Dependable and conscientious with a strong work ethic. Good physical condition and stamina, with the ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform kitchen duties for extended periods. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Food service or food safety certification is a plus.
