Duties Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to maintain cleanliness and safety standards Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following established recipes and techniques Support meal assembly by preparing simple components according to menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other culinary tools Follow food safety protocols diligently to prevent contamination and ensure proper food handling practices Maintain a clean work area by regularly cleaning countertops, sinks, floors, and storage areas Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal prep and service needs Requirements Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Basic knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures Experience with menu planning or food preparation techniques is a plus Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Strong communication skills to collaborate with kitchen team members Familiarity with food industry standards related to cleanliness, safety, and recipe adherence Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment This role is perfect for individuals passionate about the food industry who are eager to develop culinary skills while maintaining a safe and welcoming kitchen environment.
